It’s a complicated challenge to which we apply a simple approach: find the most effective prevention and intervention programs in our region and invest in them; seek out organizations impacting multiple points in the complex cycle of abuse and neglect and give them the resources they need to keep our children safe.

From application review to on-site program evaluations, our Board thoroughly researches and reviews grant applicants to ensure sound funding.
At NW Children’s Fund, we’re careful about how we allocate money. We fund prevention and intervention programs that demonstrate success at breaking the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
In our evaluation of grant recipients, we’re also on the lookout for innovative programs that other funders may overlook. This enables us to support a diverse group of programs, and to reach out to children and families that might otherwise fall through the cracks.
